HOW TO HOST THE BEST POOL PARTY
One thing you cannot let your summer pass without is definitely throwing a pool party. But you don’t want to throw just any pool party – you want to throw the hottest, coolest, most awesome party everyone will be talking about until next summer. It might seem like a lot of work, but it can actually be a pretty simple process if you follow a few essential steps that we will be talking about in this article. After you’ve made sure everything is in place, all that’s left to do is to let the party begin!
MAKE A GUEST LIST
This is the first and most important step when throwing any kind of party. Decide whether you want this to be an intimate gathering or an epic everyone’s-invited kind of party. Write down a list of people you do not want this party to go without, send out invitations, and see who shows up.
DECORATE
You don’t have to go out of your way with decorations, but a detail here or there can really add a personalized touch to your pool party. You can provide pool floats and pool toys, and place fresh flowers in strategic areas around the pool so that the guests really feel like they’re escaping boring reality for a day and entering a world of carefree fun.
SERVE SNACKS
You can always serve the easiest and most conventional snacks, such as pizza, chips or tortillas, and everyone will probably be happy. But think about preparing healthy snacks that will be delicious as well, but won’t make the guests feel bloated. For example, you can prepare sweet potato chips, almond snacks, or any kind of dried fruit really. You can also make your favorite smoothies and prepare them either as Popsicle or in appropriate containers that the guests will be able to take to pool with them.
SET UP A DRINK STATION
Don’t forget to serve refreshing beverages, because you want your guests to keep hydrated in such a hot weather. Since sugary drinks aren’t a go-to option in the sun, but serving plain water isn’t an attractive solution either, use drink dispensers to make fruit-infused waters. You can serve these with various fruits, such as strawberries, oranges, lemons, cherries, etc. – go as creative as you want. The guests will love it.
PREPARE PLENTY OF SUNSCREEN AND TOWELS
It’s always good to keep an extra few towels at hand in case someone forgets or soaks theirs. Because you don’t want people running around your house dripping pool water, keep the towels somewhere near the entrance, or in a special place in your yard, near the pool. And of course, don’t forget the sunscreen – you don’t want ugly burns to ruin your party.
MAKE AN AWESOME PLAYLIST
Because music is what makes the atmosphere, make sure to have your tunes ready to go. Think about what most people would like to hear, not something too specific only a few will enjoy. If you’re out of ideas, you can always turn to Google for help – there are a bunch of great playlists available on the Internet.
AND FINALLY… HAVE FUN!
