We've all experienced how challenging slipping into a bikini after months of overindulging can be. Luckily, with just a little bit of effort, the right swimsuit, and the right attitude, you can look and feel amazing. Here’s our short guide that can help you do that.
1. DRINK A LOT OF WATER
Surely you’re aware that keeping your body hydrated will make your skin look great. Just remember to drink at least eight glasses of water each day. If you don’t like drinking plain water, simply add your favorite fruits into it and liven it up a little bit.
2. FIND YOUR PERFECT SWIMWEAR

Let’s face it, after months of being lazy about our looks, we all need at least some exercise before we hop into the sea. If you’re not a big fan of exercising, however, you can make up for it by changing your daily routine a bit – use the stairs instead of the elevator, dance while you clean the house, etc. The more you move the more you sweat.
4. EAT FOODS THAT WILL REDUCE BLOAT
A few days before you put on your bikini, try to avoid carbs and salty foods, as well as gas-producing vegetables such as onions, beans, and broccoli. Try eating cooked spinach, asparagus, and tomatoes instead – these are all diuretics and will help you lose water weight.
5. STAY ENERGIZED
Summer is the right time to change your unhealthy eating habits and go for more nutritionally balanced options. Because you want to feel energized from morning to evening and not waste a minute of summer wonderfulness, pick up your favorite healthy cookbook and get some healthy meal ideas.
6. CUT ALCOHOL
Alcohol produces bloating and makes your skin look dry. So avoid drinking alcohol, especially if you’re going to the beach the next day...
...except for the occasional dirty martini
7. CHANGE YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE
Detoxify, wax, exfoliate – right now is the time to pay special attention to your skin because you want it to look its best for the beach. Also, pay special attention to all those hidden spots that will show if you don’t shave them properly.
8. MAKE SURE YOU GET ENOUGH SLEEP
We’re sure you’re aware that, if you don’t get enough sleep, you won’t look your best. So sleep at least 7-8 hours each night, or at least a few days before you go to the beach. That way your skin will look radiant, and you will be well rested and ready for fun.
9. STAND UP STRAIGHT
Correct posture can make you look not only more confident but also slimmer and even taller. Besides, everybody will be looking at you, and you definitely don’t want to look like you’re bored and tired all the time.
10. BE CONFIDENT
Confidence is something that always makes a huge difference – it will make you look good on the outside because you will be feeling good on the inside. So just be confident and you’ll undoubtedly have a great time!
